Yesterday TDWP won the pickrset in New Mexico, they got to play longer and got extra gas money, so congrats to them.

TDWP signs to Ferret

Dayton, Ohio’s The Devil Wears Prada has signed to Ferret Music. The band made the announcement on stage at the recent Warped Tour stop in Pomona, CA. Guitarist / vocalist Jeremy DePoyster commented

“It’s the best situation we could ask for. Ferret is run like an independent label where you know everyone there and work with them but they have the resources of a major label. We’ve also become really good friends with Carl (Severson of Ferret) and everyone there really believes in what we are doing. It helps when the people you work with and who work for you are just as stoked on your music as you are.”

The band will play this summer’s entire Warped Tour in support of their recent album Plagues. A new album will be recorded at the end of this year for a planned 2009 release.

Next weekend we shoot a second music video for The Devil Wears Prada. The set for this is going to be awesome and we’re very excited to get to work. The video is for “HTML Rulez D00d” and will be done in time for Warped Tour this year.

Daniel posted a bulletin on Myspace with an explanation for why the Tijuana shows were canceled. In case you missed this bulletin, here’s what it said:

Date: Jan 8, 2008 12:50 AM
Subject: MEXICO IN TWO DAYS!!!!! (and explination as to tijuana)
We’re leaving for mexico in TWO DAYS for Monterey and mexico city!!!!! We’re VERY EXCITED! and hope to see all your pretty faces there! PLEASE COME OUT AND ENJOY SOME MUSIC WITH US! These are the first shows we’ve played in over a month so we’re super anxious

As for the Tijuana shows, we’re very sorry that we again, cannot come to Tijuana. Unfortunately, we received an email saying something happened, and the show was cancelled, once again, before we even got to mexico. Hopefully we’ll see some of our Tijuana fans at one of the other shows though.

We will be able to come to Tijuana eventually, i’m just not sure exactly when. But we all want to say we’re very sad about not being able to go, and we still love you all, and hope to see you in the near future.

As for Mexico City and Monterey, we’ll see you guys on the 11th and 12th!

Much love to all of our fans, and thanks for the support from everyone. And again, thanks to EVERYONE who has went out and bought plagues.
